NSW: Beachley finalist for NSW woman of the year

SYDNEY, Feb 24 AAP - Former world champion surfer Layne Beachley and author Cheryl
Koenig are among the 10 finalists for the NSW Woman of the Year Award.

Beachley has been nominated for mentoring and support provided though her Aim to the
Stars Foundation, while Koenig is short-listed for raising awareness about brain injury.

She has written the book, Paper Cranes: A Mother's Story of Hope Courage and Determination
detailing her journey after her son's severe brain injury in a car accident.
