BRIEF: El Charro heads for the hills.

Aug. 14--EL CHARRO IS MOVING EAST -- to the Kolb and Sunrise area.

El Charro Ventana is expected to open this fall at 6910 E. Sunrise Drive, said El Charro's Raymon Flores.

The new space is expected to have a bar and restaurant, and be closer in concept to the restaurant's Downtown location than any of the other three eateries it owns around town, said Flores.

Owners applied for a new license with the Arizona Department of Liquor License and Control on Aug. 1.

The family-owned restaurant first opened in 1922 by Monica Flin, the great-aunt of Carlotta Flores, current chef and co-owner of the restaurant. It …
