Vic: NYE fireworks show Melbourne's biggest yet

Firing from 14 locations .. Melbourne's new year's eve fireworks spectacular will be
the city's biggest ever.

In a skyshow that's been more than six months in the making .. fireworks will be blasted
from city rooftops for Melbourne's biggest party.

ANDREW HOWARD from Howard and Sons Pyrotechnics says the display is designed so that
city revellers have a view .. no matter where they are.

Half a million people are expected to flood the CBD for Melbourne's one-point-five
million dollar celebrations .. but City Hall warns the fireworks spectacle will be axed
if lightning strikes.

Mr HOWARD and his team will be closely watching the weather for the predicted thunderstorms
up until the clock strikes 12.
